Guided Walking Tours in Germany
My name is Margarita. Since 2022, my family and I have lived in Germany, where I now lead guided walking tours to help others explore local cities and culture.
How I Began Offering Guided Tours in Germany
Like many newcomers, I struggled with the language, cultural adaptation, and emotional stress. To feel better, I started looking for ways to gain positive emotions while learning. Yes, even at my age (we won’t specify which), I picked up textbooks. After all, learning the language of the country you live in is essential. But how do you practice if no one at home speaks it either? And how do you stay emotionally balanced?
Travel became my solution. As Mark Twain once said, “Travel is necessary for those who are learning.”
Why People Hesitate to Join Walking Tours
Many people say:
– “It’s too expensive.”
– “I don’t have time.”
– “It’s scary to travel alone.”
But these are just myths. Anything is possible if you stay committed to your goal and believe in yourself.
My Experience Organizing Walking Tours Across Germany
In three years, we explored six countries and visited over 20 cities in Germany. I planned everything myself—from buying public transport tickets to booking accommodations. I also created itineraries that reflected the preferences of everyone in our group.
Our trips were always budget-friendly. We traveled to Amsterdam and Paris for just 20 euros and flew to Milan for 25. Yes, that’s real!
Discovering Germany Through Guided Walking Tours
Now, I want to help you discover the country you live in. I lead guided walking tours through cities in central Germany. These tours are based on my own travel experiences and personal stories.
I design and test each itinerary myself. The tours include interesting facts and stories, and the group size is small—usually between 5 and 10 people. We’re not bound by strict schedules and can adjust the route based on your preferences.
Ready to Join a Walking Tour in Germany?
If you’re nervous about traveling alone, unsure how to plan, or don’t know what to see, don’t worry. You can just relax and enjoy the experience.
Once you start exploring, it’s hard to stop. As Michael Palin said, “Once you catch the travel bug, you can never cure it—you’ll be infected for life.” I believe that wholeheartedly.
From Learning German to Leading Local Tours
Eventually, I learned the language and earned a B2 certificate. If you’re interested in what I do, check out my Facebook page and profile for tour announcements and planning tips.
